«The project is divided in 5 well-structured thematic WPs, each of which concerns an integrated and complete group of activities.
WP1 is obligatory and concerns the management of the project and includes 4 project meetings, the internal reporting documents (every 6 months), the verification procedures for the expenses of each beneficiary and the progress reports by the LB to the JS for every semester of the project duration.
WP2 is also obligatory, concerns the publicity of the project’s results and outputs and includes: the communication plan, the development of the project’s promotional material and website (which will include also the rest of the tools/ deliverables produced by the project), the organisation of local open-days, 1 Closing Conference.
WP3 concerns the production of the core deliverables of the project. In this WP the beneficiaries will define the entrepreneurial status of the c/b area and finalise their focus through interviews and strategic combination with the targets and focus set by EU towards sustainable development. WP3 includes also the definition of the conditions for the establishment of the Business Clubs and the elaboration of the educational material.
WP4 includes the spatial adjustments that have to take place, in order for the start-uppers to have a specific working space and privacy to operate also as a meeting point. It includes also the procedure for the selection of the start-uppers that will be included in the pilot application.
WP5 concerns the actual pilot action. During the pilot action the beneficiaries will monitor the implementation of the Business Clubs and will provide additional (non-financial) support to the start-uppers. A business contest will take place, as a motive. The winner will get additional (non-financial) support. It includes also the organization of study visits where the start-uppers will meet in order to discuss their experience, to interact and pursuit potential cooperation. Beneficiaries will evaluate the project outputs and tools and decide on the actions that will follow the completion of the project, guaranteeing its sustainability.
Business Clubs will be jointly implemented by all beneficiaries through parallel & integrated activities. LB will be responsible for the project to the JS & the programme authorities and hence responsible for the reporting & monitoring of the project activities and the financial procedures. LB will elaborate and provide all necessary tools for the initiation of the project (templates for reporting, communication plan, quality guide). The responsibility of tasks of WP2 is distributed mainly to LB and PB2, but all beneficiaries will participate in this WP, through the implementation of local events and through the contribution to the rest of the deliverables.» In the core project activities, all beneficiaries will provide input and information for the elaboration of the studies for the preparation of the Business Clubs. Most importantly, Business Clubs will be established by each project beneficiary, hence the project will be directly implemented in all participating areas.
