The main objective of the “Business Clubs” project is to provide support to innovative and smart entrepreneurship in the c/b area, with a focus in youth and female entrepreneurship. This objective will be achieved through the establishment of business support facilities in the libraries managed by the beneficiaries participating in this project. Participating in this project will lead to the improvement of the beneficiaries’ capacity to support local entrepreneurship, business survival and competitiveness, which is the contribution expected to be achieved under this specific objective & priority axis. Moreover, it will set an example for other libraries, or beneficiaries responsible for the operation of libraries, to provide similar services.
Link to Programme: There is a common problem; low levels of entrepreneurship and IΤ penetration in enterprises together with high levels of “Brain drain” and internal migration to larger urban centers & there is a joint intervention to support «entrepreneurship in both sides of the borders; the establishment of Business Clubs in libraries in the c/b area of both Greece and Albania aiming to support sensitive target groups (youth, women, people with disabilities, people facing high risks of unemployment, etc) towards the development of innovative and smart businesses.
The objectives will be achieved through intense cooperation of local authorities, entrepreneurs and professional associations and in accordance with EU and national policies (Overall strategy of programme). The Business Clubs and the enterprises that will be supported will be based on the RIS 3 policies for the Greek regions participating in the project, and the relevant documents/ policies (EU strategy paper for Albania) for the Albanian regions.
